Show planning
EuroShop exhibition stand builder: plan a working retail environment
A EuroShop production guide for retail displays, lighting, technology demonstrations and reusable stand components, with current edition context.
Use the correct edition in every project document
The official EuroShop website reports the 2026 show as completed and gives 18–22 February 2029 for the next EuroShop. Do not reuse a 2026 deadline table as a future production programme. The site also discusses EuroCIS, which is a separate event; check the client's booking rather than treating those names as interchangeable.
Early planning can still define the commercial objective, design direction, asset strategy and likely production route. Keep event-specific assumptions provisional until the relevant exhibitor documentation and allocated space are available. Mark the edition on renders, requests for quotation and inventory plans so a supplier does not price a brief against the wrong event.
Make fixtures and technology part of the construction brief
A retail-oriented stand may contain shelving, counters, display lighting, screens and interactive systems. Record which items are real products and which are exhibition scenery. A fixture carrying merchandise needs a different brief from a decorative panel that merely resembles shelving. Ask the product owner for dimensions, loads, installation details and operating requirements.
Plan visitor movement around demonstrations and conversations. Identify where people will pause, how staff reach equipment and where support materials are stored. If the concept represents a shop environment, decide which details must function and which are visual only. The builder should not have to infer that distinction from the render.
Approve material and lighting details before fabrication
Retail presentation often depends on how surfaces, edges and lighting work together. Request a sample review for the details that matter to the client's products. Agree the intended finish and lighting specification, and assign responsibility for content or system configuration where digital equipment is involved. A physical mock-up or targeted sample can resolve an issue that is difficult to judge in a rendering.
For mixed custom and modular construction, document the interfaces between fixtures, frames and graphic surfaces. Check service access and replacement routes. A component that looks integrated but cannot be serviced during the event may create an avoidable operational problem. Keep substitutions subject to the agency's approval and record their cost and schedule effects.
Plan reuse around real future applications
Consider whether fixtures or stand elements have a credible use after the show. That might be another exhibition, a showroom or storage for an approved programme. Obtain packed dimensions, ownership terms and a condition-report process. Do not assume exhibition-built pieces are automatically suitable for permanent installation; the intended next use needs its own assessment.
Compare initial fabrication with adaptation, transport, handling, storage and repair. BuildAcross can help review a EuroShop brief and assess a project-specific production route, but this page does not claim official event status or reserved capacity. Current technical decisions should be checked with the venue and appointed specialists when the actual project requirements are available.

Frequently asked questions
Questions agencies ask
Is EuroShop 2026 still an upcoming event?
No. The official site reports it as completed and announces the next EuroShop for 18–22 February 2029. Check the organizer for subsequent changes.
Can we reuse a EuroShop stand in a showroom?
Potentially, but assess the actual components and intended installation. Ownership, durability, technical suitability, transport and adaptation need a separate plan.
